BioActive Carbons refers to carbon chains that are derived from natural sources, such as the soil. Often known as humic and fulvic acids, these carbon compounds act on their own as binders or with vitamins, minerals, and herbs to deliver them more effectively to the body.
Types of Carbons
- Fulvic acid: Fulvic acids are a family of organic acids, natural compounds, and humus components. They are extracts of humic acids, with differences being seen in the functional groups, acidity, degree of polymerization, molecular weight, and color.
- Humic acid: Humic acids are a complex mixture of many different organic acids that exist naturally, formed through the natural decay of plant and animal materials and microorganisms’ biological activities.
Carbons as Binders
You may be familiar with binders such as activated charcoal or clays, such as bentonite clay. While these binders can bind to various toxins, they are limited in their use. They act as non-specific binders that bind to any and everything, including beneficial herbs and nutrients. They must be taken away from food, supplements, and medications and work primarily to bind to things in the GI tract.
On the other hand, binders made from carbons have more energy potential in the body and can selectively bind to, and remove specific toxins from the body on a cellular level. For example, some binders are more appropriate for binding to bacterial byproducts vs. heavy metals. This allows for more specific targeting of toxins. Additionally, carbon-based binders actually promote the absorption of nutrients and supply the body with essential building blocks – carbon, hydrogen and oxygen molecules. The humic and fulvic acids are supercharged electrolytes whereas charcoal is dull and spent. These bioactive have many binding spots that allow for toxins to bind on to them, donating essential compounds to the cell simultaneously. These binders can be taken with meals and supplements
(they should still be taken away from prescription medications).
Carbons as drivers
When added to herbal and vitamin supplements, the humic and fulvic acids help to deliver or drive, the compounds into the cells, where it has its most beneficial effects. This differs from liposomal nutrients. Supplements that are liposomal encapsulated have a protective coating of fat around the nutrient that helps the product enter the bloodstream, but not always the cell.
To date, humic and fulvic acids have been widely studied in animal, in-vitro and human trials, showing benefits for mitochondria support, detoxication, immune health, and inflammation.
CellCore Biosciences brings this BioActive carbon technology to life in their one-of-a-kind products. Here are some of our favorite CellCore products:
Advanced TUDCA
Tauroursodeoxycholic acid, or TUDCA, is a bile salt naturally made in the body. It is an essential ingredient in bile, an important substance made in the liver and stored in the gallbladder. Bile is released into the small intestine via the liver bile duct when food mixed with stomach acid drops down from the stomach to the small intestine. The bile neutralizes the acidic food, helps to digest fat and fiber, regulates the pH of the small intestine, and dumps toxins into the GI tract to be removed via a bowel movement. Besides helping us immensely to digest our food, it is essential to have good bile production and flow to ensure that endogenous substances (like cholesterol and used estrogen) and exogenous substances (like environmental toxins) are safely removed from the body. Bile is a superstar!
There are several things that impact bile production and flow, such as:
- Dehydration
- Heavy toxin load (ex: mold, glyphosate, heavy metals)
- Hypothyroidism
- Inflamed or damaged liver
- Estrogen dominance
- Viruses
- Parasites or other GI infections
TUDCA has been extensively studied showing benefits for GI symptoms, detox and immune support. There are 6 ways that TUDCA goes to work right away as you start implementing it into your health plan:
- TUDCA Stimulates Bile Flow
- TUDCA Helps The Mitochondria In Your Liver Tissue
- TUDCA Reduces Liver Enzymes
- TUDCA Helps Heal The Liver Bile Duct
- TUDCA Helps Your Intestines
- TUDCA Helps Protect You From Viruses
The Advanced TUDCA also contains extracts of humic and fulvic acids, N-acetyl-cysteine, and melatonin for extra antioxidant and detox support. Advanced TUDCA is an essential addition to a detox or gut protocol!
CT Minerals
CT-Minerals is a potent, highly bioavailable formulation of fulvic acid, containing 69 naturally occurring minerals and 12 naturally occurring amino acids. The BioActive Carbon technology allows the minerals to be absorbed through the gut and delivered to the cells – where the minerals and amino acids are used! We use minerals for hundreds of reaction in our body that are essential for making energy, building neurotransmitters, forming hormones and detoxing! Many of us don’t get enough minerals from our fruit and vegetables or have a higher mineral demand. When we are dealing with chronic toxic exposures or conditions.
- Plant-derived minerals are beneficial to multiple cell functions
- Amino acids function as precursors to essential neurotransmitters
- Promotes molecular synthesis in the body
- Co-regulates cellular ATP production
- Promotes optimal utilization of enzymes
