Meet the Pharmacist, Amoos Bajwa! We are excited to have a new member to the Johnson’s family.
Amoos began his studies at the University of Lahore in Pakistan in 2009 and received his Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree there in 2014. He completed his USA FPGEC Certification in June of 2015 and he has been a pharmacy intern at JCW since September of 2015. Amoos is an intern in the non-sterile lab where he has completed his training in capsules and he is currently being trained on creams.
During his five years of pharmacy school, Amoos did rotations in a variety of pharmaceutical settings – retail, hospital, compounding, research, industry – yet the one that he enjoyed the most was compounding. In fact, compounding was his favorite thing to do in lab at school as well. Thus, getting the opportunity to work at JCW, a leader in sterile and non-sterile compounding, was a dream come true for him! During his first visit to the pharmacy when he was applying for intern positions, he was so impressed by how professional, organized, and clean everything was. In addition, everyone he met that first day, starting with John Walczyk, the pharmacy manager, was so welcoming and friendly that he knew right away JCW was the right fit for him.
Amoos is an avid swimmer and swam competitively for the Pakistan National Swim Team. He loves to stay physically fit and active, so in his free time he enjoys biking around Boston and along the Charles, hiking in NH, taking CrossFit classes, swimming, and playing water polo.”
We are happy to have Amoos join our team and we look forward to working with him!
