When we are stressed, we get into a state of “fight or flight” and, by nature, humans are able to handle severe stress but for only very short bursts. We all have a built-in survival mechanism but daily stress driven by our lifestyle, poor diet, toxins in the environment, insomnia, lack of exercise and unknown happenings can slowly destroy your body and its ability to stay healthy to fight off disease.
